Hillside Gallery is founded on the lineage of art dealership that has introduced Japanese contemporary art to the Asian art market in the past decade. Since its opening in 2017, it has devoted to discovering and representing the new generation of Japanese artists who work at the intersection of traditional technique and modern sentiment.
The gallery stands out from its peers for its commitment to assisting artists thrive in the Greater China and global markets. Currently, Hillside Gallery represents Masaru Shichinohe, Shinya Sato, and Taikei Kato, curating a small yet diverse roster. Located on a quiet residential hilltop in the west of Tokyo, our gallery continues to be a championing force for Japanese artists who challenge the status quo.
We have also built strong relationship with collaborating galleries in Beijing, Hong Kong and Taipei to gain approach to the Asian Art Market.
